TrueCursor is made by a small independent team, not a subsidiary or a brand of something larger. This page says plainly why the product exists, how the business works, and what we hold ourselves to.
Why this exists
The Mac had no good answer.
For years, people whose hands shake have had real software help on Windows. On a Mac, the honest options were a handful of settings, a $220 hardware box, or advice to buy a different computer. The most-viewed discussion about it on Apple's own forums went years without a working answer. We built TrueCursor because that gap should not exist on the computer so many people already own and know.
How the business works.
- You pay once. $39 for a personal license supporting up to 10 devices. No subscription, so we never have a reason to make leaving difficult.
- The trial asks nothing. 30 days with no card and no account, because the only honest proof is your own hand on your own tasks.
- Refunds without a defense. 60 days, one email, no explanation needed. Reduced-price and free licenses exist for anyone for whom $39 is a barrier.
- Your movement stays yours. All pointer processing happens on your Mac. We do not collect movement data, click history, or typed content. The privacy page is one page, in plain words.
What we hold ourselves to.
- No medical claims, ever. TrueCursor helps with computer input. It does not treat, diagnose, or monitor any condition, and we say so everywhere, including in our ads.
- Honest guides, even when they don't sell. Our guides recommend free settings first, tell you when a trackball or another tool serves better, and say plainly when TrueCursor is the wrong answer.
- A person answers. Support is email to a human. We are happy to talk to a caregiver or an occupational therapist instead of the person using the app.
- Accessible by requirement. A product for unsteady hands must itself be usable by them. Our accessibility statement covers what we build for and how we test.
