What kind of problems does it fix?
The small, maddening ones. Links that take three or four tries because the arrow circles them. Clicks that slip and drag a file somewhere unknown. One click that comes out as two, opening things twice. Scrolling that drifts sideways when you meant to go down.
TrueCursor works on each of these separately: the arrow holds steady, clicks stay where you aimed, accidental double-clicks are ignored, and buttons you approach light up with a soft outline, click, and the click lands on that button, even the tiny ones. If pressing the button is itself the hard part, there is an option that clicks for you when you rest on a target.
Is it hard to set up?
No. There are three steps, and the app holds your hand through each one.
- Download it and drag it to Applications, the same as any Mac app.
- Allow one permission. Your Mac asks before any app may steady the mouse; the app shows you the exact button to press. It never sees what you type or read.
- Just use the mouse normally. There is no calibration step: machine learning tunes it to your hand by itself, and you feel the difference within the first minute.
What if it gets in the way?
It can’t trap you. Hold the fn key and the mouse is instantly back to normal for as long as you hold it. Hold both ⇧ shift keys for three seconds and the app switches itself off completely. If it ever has a problem, it steps aside on its own. For drawing, photos, or games, it can step aside automatically too.
Will it help you?
Honestly: it depends on the task, not the diagnosis. It usually helps if you can move the arrow roughly toward what you want, but it shakes, overshoots, or clicks the wrong thing on the way, whether that comes from essential tremor, Parkinson’s, MS, medication, or simply age.

Common questions
Will it make my pointer feel slow or laggy?
No. Movement you mean to make goes through at close to full speed. The tuning adjusts itself to your hand, and holding the fn key shows you the difference instantly.
Why does it need a permission?
Your Mac requires permission before any app is allowed to steady the mouse. It is a one-time step during setup, and the app walks you through it. TrueCursor does not read your screen, record what you click, or see what you type.
Does it work with my mouse software and two screens?

Which conditions does it help with?
